A dramatic change in pond pH may cause stress or even death to pond fish and aquatic plants. Safe pH ranges for pond fish and aquatic plants are 6.5 to 8.0. It is important to remember that pH is typically lowest at dawn and highest at dusk. Be sure to test your pond at the same time each day for accurate results.
It is always best to test the pond buffering capacity and pH first with CrystalClear Test Strips. If the pH reading is above 8.0, apply CrystalClear pHusion pH Reducer.
